The Belgrade Dance Festival, an event being held for the 17th time this year, was presented at a press conference held at the French Embassy. Belgrade audience will be able to see some of the best dancers in the world, and as in previous years, the event is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia.

Through this festival, the European Union promotes culture, but also the creative industries, as well as the participation of young people, says Ambassador Sem Fabrizi, Head of the EU Delegation.

“For the past couple of years, we have supported youth training, exchange of experiences and cooperation of Serbian and European artists through performances. This year, together with Aja Jung, we have already started activities aimed at creating a youth audience. I wish all the best to this festival and thank you for calling us to participate again, and I will also be among the visitors,” states Ambassador Fabrizi.

Director of the Belgrade Dance Festival Aja Jung says that organizing a festival is the greatest pleasure and the greatest responsibility.

“If the choice is average or bad, then all the tremendous effort and work is in vain. I believe in the power of the artist and his work, because that is what brings us together, whether we are producers, organizers, sponsors, journalists or audiences. When you have superior work, then you have a goal and justification. We are sure that there is a program of pure sensations, unrepeatable experiences, which no one can tell you, “Jung states.

Belgrade has in a way become recognizable for this event, says Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic.
“The festival presents the best of the game we have in Europe and in the world, and at the time Belgrade is the capital of the game, which we are proud of. The message that is being sent from here is that cultural cooperation has no boundaries and that it precedes both economic and political cooperation,” Vesic said.
The festival program can be found on the official website.
