On 21 and 22 June, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Sem Fabrizi will travel to southwest Serbia and visit EU-funded projects in Novi Pazar and Sjenica aimed at improving the infrastructure and health care services and fostering the competitiveness of local economy and job creation.

On the first day of his visit, 21 June, the Head of the EU Delegation will together with the Mayor Nihat Bisevac pay a visit to the construction site of the new emergency service facility in Novi Pazar, funded by the EU with EUR680,000. Fabrizi will also meet with a young entrepreneur Mirza Alickovic who has, thanks to EU and Swiss assistance, received equipment and started his own IT business.

The Head of the EU Delegation will also open the European Film Festival in Novi Pazar, organised by the EU Delegation and the EU Info Centre, in cooperation with the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC).

Also, during his visit to Novi Pazar Ambassador Fabrizi will meet with the Mayor Nihat Bisevac, the President of the Bosniac National Council Sulejman Ugljanin, the President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community of Serbia Mufti Mevlud Efendi Dudic, and the Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Serbia Sead Nasufovic.

On the second day of his visit, together with the President of the Municipality Hazba Mujovic, EU Ambassador will travel to Sjenica where he will pay a visit to a Turkish delight production company named Masry Plus, which has received production upgrading equipment through an EU donation.
