European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations and Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn met in Belgrade with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

A statement released from the President’s Office reads that the two “discussed the process of European integration and Serbia’s progress on that path. They highlighted that all Western Balkans countries should make the most of this year’s Bulgarian and Austrian EU Presidency to make further progress.” President Vucic said that Serbia would do everything to fully contribute to preserving peace and stability in the region.

European Commissioner Hahn tweeted that he had a good meeting with President Vucic with whom he discussed Serbia’s EU accession process and the EU Enlargement Strategy.

“Further rule of law reform and the dialogue with Kosovo are crucial,” Hahn tweeted.

“Internal dialogue on Kosovo shows courage and leadership from those caring for tomorrow’s better future of Serbia and its people,” said Hahn.
