Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations will participate at the Western Balkans 6 Ministerial Meeting in Skopje, on 9 and 10 February.

Gathering Ministers of Energy and of Foreign Affairs from the region, the meeting will focus on cooperation in the energy sector – taking stock on progress made – and on ways to advance on the regional electricity market. Participants will also discuss the preparation of the Western Balkan 6 Summit that will take place in Trieste, Italy this July.

In the margins of the WB Ministerial, Commissioner Hahn will also sign EU funded facilities with International Financial Institutions on energy efficiency and green economy measures for the WB region. The Commissioner will also meet with civil society representatives and hold bilateral talks with representatives of all parliamentary parties of the host country.
