Summary of the project

Economic activity in Serbia in recent years has been characterised by a decrease in manufacturing output accompanied by an increase in unemployment particularly within the 18 – 34 age group. Activities og this project will be conducted in 4 districts in central Serbia - Sumadija Pomoravlje, Raski and Moravicki. Objective of the project is to accelerate economic growth in central Serbia by facilitating the start up of new enterprises, the growth and competitiveness of existing SMEs, job creation and employment opportunities for the young and unemployed. At the end of the project level of entrepreneurship awareness among youth will be increased, competitiveness of the existing and start up businesses managed by young people will be improved, business skills and competences of young people improved and financial mechanism for provision of financial support will be developed.

  • Create and preserve employment by enhancing economic viability of the private SME sector through promoting entrepreneurial spirit, business initiative and self employment among the young unemployed.
  • Increase competitiveness and economic results of young entrepreneurs and existing SMEs through provision of a diverse portfolio of practical training and development activities and direct financial support through micro loans
