President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Sem Fabrizi met today to discuss Serbia’s European path, situation in the region, rule of law and media freedom.

A statement released from the President’s office reads that Serbian Head of State said that EU membership was at the top of Serbia’s priorities, adding that the country would do anything to become part of the European family.

Serbian President also said that a new round of Belgrade-Pristina dialogue should be preceded by the implementation of Agreement on Community of Serb Municipalities, adding that implementation of the Agreement was 1670 days past due.

They stressed that strengthening of judicial system and rule of law was crucial to meeting European standards and attracting new foreign investment to Serbia.

They also discussed Serbia’s contribution to regional cooperation, reconciliation and stability, describing them as pivotal for economic progress of the whole region, the statement reads.
