After the very successful ninth contest within the Europa Diary project during the previous academic year, the Delegation of the EU to Serbia invites you, high school students, to participate in the tenth anniversary contest for creative and innovative works.

THIS YEAR’S TOPICS ARE:

•             EU and Serbia

•             EU in your everyday life

•             EU myths

•             Human rights

•             The environment and climate change

•             Violence prevention

•             Europe – united in diversity

10TH ANNIVERSARY CONTEST FOR CREATIVE AND INDIVIDUAL WORKS

The submissions can be either individual or team ones, in the following categories:

1. Photographic works (individual);

2. Design pitch for the 2020/2021 Diary – front and back covers and first page design for all 10 chapters of this year’s edition (team);

3. Video formats –  up to three minutes in length (team)

4. Comic strip/caricature – B2 format (individual);

5. Multimedia format – web page or mobile app design (team)

15 SUBMISSIONS WILL RECIEVE AWARDS

THE WINNERS WILL GO ON A SEVEN-DAY TRIP TO ONE OR MORE EU MEMBER STATES IN 2020

THE RULES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 2019/2020 CONTEST:

•             First, second and third year high school students can take part in this contest.

•             More than one team from the same school can participate (three students per team). Every team has to have a mentor. The team members cannot in any way be part of a formal school association or a school club.

•             The students who won prizes in previous Europa Diary contests cannot take part in this year’s contest.

•             The schools that participated in the previous cycles can sign up new contestants.

•             A mentor must be a teacher working at that school.

•             A teacher can mentor only one team.

•             15 submissions in total will receive prizes, three winners in each category.

•             The minimum number of submissions for each category is 10.

•             In case of insufficient submissions in one of the categories, the Delegation of the EU reserves the right to award more prizes in a different category.

THE WINNERS WILL GET A UNIQUE CHANCE TO GO ON A SEVEN-DAY TRIP TO ONE OR MORE EU MEMBER STATES IN MAY 2020.

The submissions received after the deadline will not be taken into account. All submissions, except for those in the Comic strip/caricature category, are to be sent electronically, via email, to: evropskidnevnik@euinfo.rs.

To take part in the contest, along with your work, you must also fill in the application available on the following website: www.evropskidnevnik.rs.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 31 JANUARY 2020.

The submissions for the Comic strip/caricature category, along with the application form, are to be sent via mail to:

The instructions for sending submissions to the contest with the explanation of the mentor’s role as well, can be found on the same website. The submissions will be assessed by an expert jury, and the results will be published in March 2020, on the following website: www.evropskidnevnik.rs. Only contestants that have received an award will be notified via email.
