Within the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II – action on “Promotion of diversity and equality in Serbia”, the Council of Europe is launching a call for emergency grants, which is to be opened to civil society organisations (CSOs) registered in Serbia, with the aim to fund specific measures to favour inclusion and combat inequalities of vulnerable groups, and/or raise awareness against hate speech targeting these groups in the specific context of the spread of the COVID virus in Serbia.
Through this call, the Action on “Promotion of diversity and equality in Serbia’’ will support maximum of 6 (six) local CSOs for fighting discrimination during COVID time.
The deadline for the submission of applications is 11 May 2020.

„Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” is a joint initiative of the European Union and Council of Europe that aims to support beneficiary-tailored reform processes in the areas of human rights, rule of law, and democracy and help its beneficiaries to comply with European standards and the European Union acquis in the enlargement process. The three-year programme, implemented since May 2019 by the Council of Europe, will cover actions in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Kosovo*.
