At the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, from 17 to 22 May, the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia will be presented through the EU Pavilion under the slogan “Cultivating Together“ – a unique space where knowledge, technology, and the flavours of Europe meet with local agricultural practice.
During the six days of the fair, more than one hundred guests and experts from Serbia and the European Union will share their experiences and ideas through over 50 events.
The EU Ambassador to Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret, will visit the Fair on Saturday, 17 May.
The “Ask an Expert” segment is designed as a direct communication opportunity between visitors and professionals. Whether it concerns digitalisation in agriculture, food quality control, veterinary science, or business strategies for farms, visitors will have the chance to receive concrete advice, ask questions, and hear expert opinions first-hand – through direct interaction. This exchange of knowledge lies at the heart of the European approach to cooperation and education.
At the centre of the EU Pavilion is the “EU Kitchen” – a meeting of cultures through authentic bites. Each day, ambassadors and representatives of EU Member States will present dishes from their countries. Visitors will have the opportunity to try Italian spaghetti carbonara, Polish pierogi (dumplings), Slovak gnocchi with sheep cheese and bacon, and many other delicious meals.
Also in focus is a special IPARD info session, offering answers to questions such as: how can EU funds be used to improve production and competitiveness? Participants in this session – representatives of the IPARD agency, advisers from the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, and beneficiaries who have already gone through the process – will share practical information, tips, and personal experiences. The aim is to bring IPARD closer to producers and encourage new applicants to get involved.
The programme also includes numerous panels addressing key topics – from artificial intelligence and drones in agriculture to the transformation of the food system.
