From November 2 to 6, 2025, the city of Kragujevac will host the Creative Europe Festival, an event that showcases the best projects from Serbia supported through the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.

The festival is organized by Creative Europe Desk Serbia, the Europe House, the City of Kragujevac, and the Student Cultural Center Kragujevac, with the support of numerous institutions and organizations that foster cultural cooperation and promote European values.

The festival aims to highlight the importance of culture and creativity in community development, artistic and institutional networking, and connecting Serbia with its European partners. Through a diverse program, visitors will have the opportunity to explore contemporary trends in art, literature, film, and music, and to learn more about the opportunities offered by EU support programmes.

The festival programme opens on Monday, November 3, at the Đura Jakšić House, with presentations of the Creative Europe programme and the eumogucnosti.rs portal — a platform that brings together information about EU funds and grants available in Serbia.

In the following days, the festival will feature a varied programme including literary events, film screenings, exhibitions, and concerts.

The literary segment will present projects by publishing houses BLUM, Kontrast, and Kreativni centar, which bring new European authors closer to local audiences, promote reading culture, and empower young people through literature.

The film programme will include screenings of the award-winning films The Labudović Case by Mila Turajlić and Father by Srdan Golubović.

The exhibition “Creative Europe – 5 Projects”, hosted at the Student Cultural Center, will showcase innovative European initiatives such as Multisensory Art, BioAwaking, and SHELeadersVR, which connect art, science, inclusion, and digital technology.

The festival will conclude with a concert by Jasna Jovićević Quinary, bringing a contemporary jazz expression that combines improvisation, exploration, and artistic freedom.

All festival events are free and open to the public.

A detailed programme with schedules and venues is available at the link: Creative Europe Festival Programme.

The Creative Europe Festival serves as a reminder that art, culture, and cooperation form the foundation of a society that grows through creativity and shared European values.

As part of the “Desk on the Move” initiative, from Monday, November 3, to Thursday, November 6, 2025, individual meetings will be held in Kragujevac with local institutions and organizations interested in participating in the Creative Europe programme.
