EU Members States’ ambassadors to Serbia, Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Michael Davenport, Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac and Provincial Secretary for Culture and Information Slaviša Grujić will visit the municipality of Bač on Thursday 29 May 2014, where they will talk to municipal authorities and tour several EU-funded cultural projects.

The visit bigins with a meeting with the President of this municipality Dragan Stašević before the delegation tours Franciscan monastery that is part of a project aimed at protecting European cultural heritage and setting up a museum complex in and around Bač. Experts engaged in the project will present the whole ongoing project at the monastery.

This is followed by a visit to the Fortress of Bač, currently subject to conservation  works within the EU-funded “HEROMAT” project.

The visit ends at Bođani monastery, by presenting the results of the pilot project, carried out in cooperation with Italian Ministry of Culture, that helped restoration of a part of monastery’s fresco paintings, as well as monastery’s plan to restore the operation of the museum dedicated to Hristofor Žefarović.
