In October, the EU Info Centre announced a contest for creative and innovative essays by high-school students as a part of the project Europa Diary. More about the project and the competition on www.recinam.rs.

The deadline for submissions was January 27, 2017 and 164 essays have been submitted. The essays were examined by the expert jury, comprised of journalists and other experts. After the selection was executed, an expert jury made a list of awarded works in all four categories.

  • “On The Beautiful Blue Danube“ – Legal and Economics School, Novi Beograd

  1. Video form (journalistic ‘news’, artistic, documentary, played dramatisation):

The EU info center congratulates all awarded schools and thanks all those who have participated in the contest.

This contest represents the continuation of previous activities by the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Serbia within the publication Europa Diary and promotion of media literacy. Two previous contests were organised — “If You Have Something To Say – Say It!“, and the first pilot contest in the framework of the Europa Diary.

Works awarded in the previous contest, new e-magazines from various schools and their improved websites can be seen at www.recinam.rs. Partner schools which have taken part in the previous project run are from Belgrade, Sremski Karlovci, Paracin, Nova Varos, Smederevska Palanka, Novi Sad, cacak, Becej, Kragujevac and Stara Pazova. The works awarded at this contest will be soon published on the website.
