Mogherini: Condolences to the people and the Government of Pakistan

Statement by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini on today’s attack in Lahore, Pakistan:

“The attack today in the centre of the Pakistani city of Lahore decimated peaceful families, many of them Christian, taking indiscriminately its toll among women and children. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of the victims and to the many injured.

I convey my condolences to the people and the Government of Pakistan and confirm the full support of the EU in fighting terrorism and promoting our common values of freedom, peace and diversity.”
