Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission, and Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement negotiations, issued the following statement on March 31:
“Today’s confirmation of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina will pave the way for the authorities at all levels to begin addressing the problems faced by the citizens of BiH, particularly the high level of unemployment.
The new governments at state and entity level will play a key role, in accordance with their competences, in formulating and implementing the reform agenda on the basis of the Written Commitment that was endorsed by the Parliament of BiH in February.
The authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina must now work together to take the concrete steps needed to bring the country closer to the EU. They can count on full support of the EU in this endeavour.”
