Serbian Government places interest in reaching agreement on Community of Serb Municipalities, with respect to Serbian national interests, Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today.

Vucic discussed continuation of dialogue with Pristina today in Belgrade with Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport. He said that Serbian Government placed great interest in reaching agreements on telecoms, energy and Peace Park in Mitrovica, with respect to Serbian national interests.

Discussion also included situation in the region: Serbian PM reiterated Serbia’s commitment to bring stability to Western Balkans. He also said that he would also confirm so at the forthcoming Vienna Conference scheduled for 27 August, reads the statement from Serbian Government.

Davenport said that the EU was impressed by the way Government and relevant services handled the reception of illegal migrants, whereas Vucic thanked the EU for the support in organising the reception and EUR390,000 of financial support aimed at taking care of migrants.

The statement also reads that PM Vucic and Ambassador Davenport talked about the possibility of European Union’s assistance in equipping the future reception centre for migrants in Belgrade.
