EU candidate countries’ progress in protection of fundamental rights, non-discrimination and the protection of vulnerable groups, including LGBTI will contribute to progress overall on the EU path, it was concluded at the conference recently held in Albania.
The European Commission and the European Parliament together with EU Member States will continue to pay close attention to developments in these fields and support efforts and positive developments wherever possible.
The conclusions of the conference organised by the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU on “Fundamental Rights, non-discrimination and the protection of vulnerable groups, including LGBTI” which took place on 21 November 2014 in Tirana are now available.
