The EU High Representative for foreign and security policy Catherine Ashton visits Serbia on Monday, April 28 to discuss “the challenges ahead” with the new government.
“Serbia has made impressive progress on its European path over the last years, most notably starting the accession talks with the European Union and embarking on a process of normalising relations with Pristina,” Ashton said in a statement.
“I am looking forward to discussing with the new government the challenges ahead,” she said prior to the visit.
She will meet President Tomislav Nikolić, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić. She will also address the Parliament and meet its speaker Maja Gojković.
