On the occasion of Europe Day, the EU Delegation to Serbia and its Info Centre announce a multimedia contest titled “Serbia and EU: Open Chapter”.

The EU Delegation and its Belgrade Info Centre call Serbian citizens to take part in literary and photo competition on the subject of “Serbia and EU: Open Chapter”, and thus contribute to the new stage of Serbia-EU relations at which the opening of negotiating chapters is expected.

Citizens who are interested in taking part in literary contest should submit their essays, of up to 1500 words, by 20 April at: competition@euinfo.rs. How can Serbia contribute to EU; in what way would Serbian culture, history and art enrich the EU, once Serbia becomes a Member. These are some of the topics that contestants may cover in their essays. The best one, which will be chosen by the Jury composed of EU Delegation and Info Centre members, will be awarded an e-book reader in May, on the occasion of Europe Day celebration.

Photo contest also runs until 20 April and shares the subject of the literary one: “Serbia and EU: Open Chapter“. What it takes is to submit a photo that, in your personal opinion, describes Serbia best. Photos should also be sent to e-mail: competition@euinfo.rs. The best works will be featured in the EU Delegation’s exhibition which will be set up on the occasion of Europe Day. Five of the best photos will be awarded with book vouchers worth 50 euros each.

Citizens submitting their essays and photographs should include their name and surname, home town and telephone number in the e-mail. According to the rules of competition, each contestant may send only one essay/photo. Any claims and complaints brought by contestants will be settled by the Jury.
