As in previous years, the EU Delegation to Serbia and EU Info Centre will have their own stand at Belgrade Book Fair, where they will present new publications on EU but also will organise a series of activities – from book promotions and discussions about EU, to Erasmus+ programme presentation and interactive quizzes.

At the stand, located in Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair, visitors will be able to browse and order EU publications in EU Bookshop from 10:00 to 21:00; there will also be an interactive EU quiz and EU publications presentations organised.

The stand will be officially opened Monday, 27 October at 14:30, following be a promotion of “European Mosaic” book and the discussion with book’s author Professor Gediminas Vitkus.

The promotion of Erasmus Mundus and Erasmus+ programmes with Tempus office will be on Tuesday, 28 October. Along with the presentation of Erasmus promotional video and the discussion with Tempus office representatives, speed dating with Erasmus Mundus alumni is planned at noon.

Wednesday, 29 October sees the European Integration Office Day at the EUIC stand, when a mobile app “Europe to go” will be presented along with an online SEIO quiz, as well as a discussion with students about the “Get to know EU” brochure. From 16:00 till 17:00 Srđan Tešin and Mladen Vesković participate in the debate titled “Preserving country’s cultural identity: How can EU promote national identity?”

Traditional Book Fair’s school day will be organised at the EUIC stand as well, with the visit of students from Obrenovac and Nis. During the afternoon discussion appointment, from 16:00 to 17:00, topic of the discussion will be “Culture without borders: SEE region as a common market for publishers” with participation of Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin directors of publishing houses.

Friday, 31 October, is the National Library and EUD synergy day, with the presentation of Euroepana, promotion of EU publications and a workshop on digital bookshop. Alumni and other students will discuss the means in which Erasmus alumni can contribute to the reform of society, whereas at 17:00 starts the debate “Serbia on the EU culture map: What can we offer; what can we gain” with participation of Ugljesa Šejtinac and Jelena Lengold, EU Literature Award winners and publisher Gojko Bozovic.

On Saturday, 1 November, visitors of the Fair will have an opportunity to hear more about the ways in which EU help citizens of Serbia – from flood relief assistance, to projects aimed at improving day to day lives of citizens.

The stand will be solemnly closed the last day of the Book Fair, Sunday, 2 November at 15:30.
