The Civil Aviation Directorate of Serbia hosted a European Commission expert team whose members reviewed the implementation of the Multilateral agreement on the creation of a common European aviation area, reads a statement released by the Directorate.

The Agreement aims at expanding the common aviation area to Southeast Europe with a view to fully integrating it into the single European aviation market.

The meeting was particularly important as Serbia was the first country to receive a visit from the European Commission’s expert team following the entering into force of the Agreement on 1 December 2017, the statement reads.

The team reviewed Serbia’s progress in the implementation of regulation in civil aviation and civil aviation-related areas (tourism, employment relations, insurance, damage liability, protection of consumers and environment), the statement says.
