We are celebrating a small anniversary and selecting the tenth generation of students of the “European Debate School”. EU Info Network and Open Communications are inviting you to register and join a group of more than 900 young debaters who completed this programme taking with them the best experiences and acquiring new skills.
The selected candidates will attend workshops on the skills of debating, argumentation, public speaking and functioning of the European Union, European institutions, and the EU integrations processes.
The call is open to secondary school students and university students from the territory of Serbia only.
Three groups of students in Belgrade, Niš and Novi Sad will attend twelve workshops in the period November 2023 – March 2024. The workshops will be held once a week – for three hours every Saturday – in person and online.
The lecturers will be experienced trainers of debate skills – winners of prizes at debate competitions in Serbia and abroad.
Following the workshops, the participants will have an opportunity to take part in public debates Serbia-wide.
The public call will be open until Sunday, 15 October 2023. Only online registration will be accepted. The registration form may be accessed HERE.
A three-member jury composed of debate trainers will select new European Debate School candidates.
All the interested students are kindly requested to respond to the questionnaire, thus showing their motivation to take part in the training.
All the data entered in the registration form will be used for the purpose of the present public call exclusively, and shall not be shared with third parties.

The European Debate School is a project organised by the EU Info Network and the debate academic network Open Communications with the support of the European Union Delegation. The project aims to educate secondary school students and university students about the European Union, the European integration process, and the debating skills.
Over the last nine years, the Debate School was attended by more than 900 secondary school and university students from more than 30 cities in Serbia. Almost 40 public debates have been organised.
