The start of implementation of the agreement on freedom of movement/Mitrovica Bridge on Saturday, 17 October 2015, is a sign of genuine commitment to the process of dialogue and normalisation of relations between Pristina and Belgrade.
The local communities and their representatives have ensured an orderly start of the revitalisation of the bridge. We are confident that cooperation for completion of works will be carried out in the same atmosphere and hope that the other elements of the agreement on freedom of movement – the Memorandum of Understanding on Municipal Development Plans, the Municipal Zoning Map and the Detailed Regulatory Plan – will be signed soon.
We will, in particular through the EU Office in Kosovo/EU Special Representative, remain in constant contact with representatives of both municipalities to monitor and review developments.
