The JRC is organising a workshop which will focus on financial instruments as support to innovation and tech transfer projects in the Western Balkans countries and, in general, in the Danube region. The event will take place on the 1st and 2nd March in Belgrade (Serbia).
The objectives of the workshop are to identify existing financial instruments that support innovation and technology transfer activities in the region, explore where the evident gaps exist and explore ways to address currently unmet demand using synergistic solutions. The workshop also aims to strengthen and cement an emerging community of practice on these issues that should help to maximise the impact of innovation on regional development.
This is one of the first follow-up activities of the Macro-Regional Innovation Week held in Trieste, 26-30 September 2016.
