On Wednesday, 17 September at 10 a.m., Europe House Niš will host the hybrid event “Future-Proof Living Spaces for All,” within the FutureECOS project (Interreg Europe). Participants from Serbia, Finland, Ireland, Romania, Croatia and Ukraine will exchange experiences on sustainable mobility, smart urban design and citizen engagement.
The programme includes lectures, examples of good practice and a city tour, with the possibility to participate both in person and online. Participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, gain valuable knowledge and find inspiration for applying sustainable solutions in their own communities.
European Mobility Week is the EU’s leading awareness-raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility, launched in 2002. Its goal is to inspire local authorities across Europe to introduce and promote sustainable modes of transport – walking, cycling and public transport – and make them accessible to all. This year, more than 1,300 cities and municipalities from 39 countries, including 15 in Serbia, are taking part. The theme “Mobility for Everyone” highlights accessible, safe and inclusive transport options for all citizens.
