In celebration of 15 years of EU development aid in Serbia, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia and the EU Info Centre, in cooperation with Serbian European Integration Office, have organised a photo exhibition “EU and Serbia: 15 years of partnership” which will be officially opened in Kalemegdan (Sava Promenade) on Friday, 13 May, at 13:00.
Since 2001, Serbia has benefited from more than three billion euros in grants from EU pre-accession funds. Throughout the country, the EU and Serbia have implemented successful projects, fostering development in many areas among which are infrastructure, education, health and environmental protection.
The exhibition “EU and Serbia: 15 years of partnership“ has been organised to showcase at least a part of the developed partnership. Around 50 photos featured in the exhibition show the results of jointly implemented projects that help Serbia implement the necessary reforms, become a full-fledged member of the EU and improve the standard of living for its citizens. The projects have been implemented in all areas, across Serbia, from north to south.
The exhibition will be officially opened by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Michael Davenport and Acting Director of Serbian European Integration Office Mrs. Ksenija Milenković.
They will also present gifts to the winners of the photo exhibition “Where I see EU in Serbia,” organised by the EU Info Centre in April.
