The Public event on “Parliamentary transparency” will be held on 29th September 2014 at 10.00 at the House of the National Assembly (13 Trg Nikole Pasic, Hall 2). The event takes place within the European Union (EU) funded Twinning Project “Strengthening Capacities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the EU Integration Process”.
The purpose of this event is to address the topic of transparency in national Parliaments, while focusing on the Serbian and the Greek parliamentary practice.
The event will be opened by Prof. Dr. Vladimir Marinkovic, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia and member of the Global organization of parliamentarians against corruption (GOPAC).
The Hellenic Parliament will be represented by Secretary General Dr. Athanasios Papaioannou. Several international experts will discuss transparency issues from different perspectives.
The aim of the event is to strengthen parliamentary transparency at the National Assembly of Serbia, within the framework of the EU integration process.
This occasion provides opportunity to learn more about international tendencies in parliamentary transparency, as well as about the Twinning project between the National Assembly of Serbia and the Hellenic Parliament.
MPs and National Assembly officials, representatives from national and international organizations, civil society and media are invited to participate.
