Under the EU-funded project “We are here together – European support for Roma inclusion”, modular trainings for pedagogical assistants working at primary schools and preschool institutions across Serbia were held from 6-11 and from 13-17 October in Kanjiza, Belgrade, Smederevo, Leskovac and Nis.

Trainings for 181 pedagogical assistants covered areas and topics concerning the support to physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of children, as well as development of their skills and communication.

In addition, trainings included support to education and teaching approaches for children/pupils with disabilities, as well as teaching strategies aimed at gifted students.

Modular trainings are envisioned to continue as of November, given that, according to the Rulebook, these trainings are required in order to work at primary schools and preschool institutions.

Trainings were organised in cooperation with Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, Centre for Lifelong Learning of the University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences in Jagodina, and Group “Most” from Belgrade.
