With a rich art program, promotion of European values, quizzes, workshops, many useful and interesting content, the Day of European values was marked in Niš. EU Info Point Niš, in partnership with the City of Niš and in cooperation with local partner organizations, organized a central event on Sunday, May 11, at Plateau near Kalča, within the framework of the Europe Week in Niš.
All events within the Europe Week are part of this year’s campaign of the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia and the EU Info Network in Belgrade, Niš and Novi Sad, implemented under the title #EUzaTebe, with the idea to promote the results of EU development aid to Serbia in the process European integration.
The Day of European values in Niš has gathered numerous local partners of the EU Info Point, who actively and continuously work on promoting European values and communicating with citizens about different segments of accession. All interested visitors were able to learn more about important European values, support programs for Serbia, as well as concrete activities that local organizations implement in order to improve the community through discussion with representatives of organizations.
During the Day of European values, interactive workshops, quizzes, and a diversified group were organized, aimed at illustrating the importance of respecting and promoting European values through concrete examples in order to build a better future for the joint forces and a better society for all of us. In the accompanying part of the program, Proaktiv, the Kobra Group, the National Coalition for Decentralization, Green Key Ecological Organization, Researchers Night, Human Rights Committee Niš, Young Ambassadors, Radoje Domanović Elementary School, Media and Reform Center Niš and Optim-um.
The music-scenic program opened the performance of the orchestra of Impression, followed by the students of the “Svetozar Marković” Gymnasium sang and recited in several languages of the EU countries. The youngest participants in the program, members of the Children’s Choir “Čarolija” performed “The Odd of Joy”, and with a few more songs, all the participants were happy. The program closed the great stage performance of the Dance Club “Boom 018” and several interesting acrobatic dots. During the accompanying part of the event, creative workshops for children, as well as the EU quiz were organized, and all the interested people could, with the help of the painting cabin, go to “a trip through Europe”.
