Representatives of 22 Serbian festivals, which have become part of international festival networks, will be awarded EFFE certificates during ceremony marking the EFFE project. Also, this will mark the launch of ArtLink Young Talents’ Festival which takes place in several venues in Belgrade and Novi Sad from 29 September-11 October 2015.
Director of ArtLink Association Jovanka Visekruna Jankovic and Head of EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport will address press at the opening. Aron Chiesa (clarinet) and Natasa Starcevic (piano) will perform works of Brahms, Webber, Schumann and Poulenc at the opening ceremony at 20:00.
ArtLink Young Talents’ Festival, in its latest European edition, brings many new names from the world of classical music and a number of renowned artists who are making their first appearance in Belgrade.
Within the Festival on 8 October audience will hear a concert organised in cooperation with RTS Symphonic Orchestra with excellent young pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian, performing on 5 October in Novi Sad in cooperation with Music Youth of Novi Sad. The concerts are organised in cooperation with French Institute as part of French Musical Autumn, under the auspices of Société Générale Mécénat Musical.
Together with orchestra, Gasparijan will perform one of the most demanding and popular piano concerts – a rather popular Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 under the baton of maestro Bojan Sudjic in Novi Sad City Hall in cooperation with Music Youth of Novi Sad.
Festival will introduce the most talented young musicians from the region, focusing on Visegrad-Balkan Programme within which we will hear the most famous names hailing from countries of Visegrad Group – Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
Audiences will have an opportunity to hear young Polish violinist Maria Machovska accompanied by pianist Uki Ovaskainen, an excellent Czech quartet Epoque, pianist Zoltán Fejérvári, whereas the unforgettable Janoska Ensemble from Slovakia will close the Festival on 11 October at Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment making its first appearance in Belgrade (in cooperation with Endowment’s Music Centre).
Among guest artists are: violinist Kai Vogler from Germany and pianist Mirjana Rajic. Through master work shops, all of the said artists will work and cooperate with our young talents, helping them to furhter develop their knowledge and skills.
At the very beginning, audience will have a chance to hear a young Italian flutist Aron Chiesa, pianist Natasa Sarcevic, following performances by Austrian flutist Marianna Busslechner and pianist Alisa Besevic, String Orchestra of the School for Music Talents in Ćuprija and young artists from Serbia performing within Société Générale Young Talents’ Music Cycle.
ArtLink Young Talents’ Festival, starting 29 September in Belgrade, is among the receivers of EFFE Label. The ArtLink Young Talents’ Festival supports the professional advancement and preforming talent of young artists. The Festival fulfils ArtLink’s founding idea to present the most promising as well as the established young artists from Serbia, but also to present to the national audience the international rising stars and the already recognized young artists.
