Austria, Italy give their consent to opening of negotiating chapters within Serbian EU accession process According to FoNet, Foreign Ministers of Austria and Italy, Sebastian Kurz and Paolo Gentiloni, assessed today there was a consensus regarding the opening of negotiating chapters within Serbian EU accession process.

In Brussels, following the Friends of Serbia session, Kurz told press that first negotiating chapters should be opened. We want Serbia to become a part of the EU, said Kurz and added that Belgrade had all the support on that good path.

Gentiloni said there was a general consensus regarding the opening of chapters in a swift, pragmatic and non-dogmatic manner. That is good news for the whole region, Gentiloni said.
