Session titled “Books and Culture as a Gateway to EU”, within which librarians from across Serbia will take part in workshops dedicated to sources of information about the EU and Europeana project, will be held at the National Library of Serbia on Tuesday, 7 April.

The session takes place within the cooperation determined by Memorandum of Understanding, signed in July 2014 by the National Library of Serbia, EU Delegation to Serbia and the Ministry of Culture and Information. Earlier this month, Serbian European Integration Office also joined the Memorandum.

Opening remarks will be made by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Michael Davenport, Assistant Minister Asja Draca Munteanu (Ministry of Culture and Information), Acting Director of Serbian European Integration Office Ksenija Milenkovic, and Acting Director of the National Library of Serbia Laslo Blaskovic. This will be followed by workshops aimed at librarians on topics of “Materials and sources about EU for librarians” and “Serbia in Europeana – contributing to the process of European integration”.

The workshop will also include a detailed presentation of EU Bookshop.
