Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport said that the arrest of suspected narco boss Darko Saric is “very good and encouraging news” as well as a “sign that the government of Serbia seriously faces problems and challenges” in fight against organised crime.
“I believe that this is potentially huge step in an effective fight against organised crime,” Davenport said.
Darko Saric, suspected for organising trafficking of narcotics and money laundering, was arrested on Tuesday in a joint operation of Serbia and Montenegro authorities.
