Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport will visit Obrenovac on Wednesday, 10 September 2014, and together with top representatives of the Serbian government deliver the EU assistance to farmers, followed by a visit to reconstruction sites where the flood rehabilitation works has been taking place within the programme of EU’s assistance to flooded areas in Serbia.

Along with the Minister of agriculture and environmental protection Snežana Bogosavljević Bošković and State Secretary at the Ministry of youth and sports Nenad Borovčanin, Davenport will deliver animal feed to more than 400 agricultural households. This is a part of EU’s 8-million euro assistance to the sector of agriculture.

Davenport and Minister without portfolio in charge with European integration Jadranka Joksimović will visit the EU-funded reconstruction works on the Agricultural-chemical school in Obrenovac, worth some seven million dinars.

The ambassador and the Minister will also pay a visit to a family that lost their old home during the floods, and whose house construction is now being EU-funded.
