Winners will be announced on 9 May on Europa Diary’s Facebook page (facebook.com/evropski.dnevnik), whereas the Delegation and jury of experts, comprised of members of European Integration Office and Ministry of Education, will award top five essays. First prize is a tablet PC, while the remaining four prizes are book vouchers worth RSD3000.

The best essay will also be featured in the next edition of Europa Diary scheduled for the next year.

Sixth edition of EUROPA DIARY – WISE CHOICES Serbian edition is an EU Delegation-funded project that has for several years been implemented in schools, with assistance and support from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. This year, part of the content creation was done by European Integration Office, therefore significantly contributing to the project.

Thanks to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, 68.000 copies of Europa Diary will be delivered to schools through their administrations. Diary’s readership includes second grade students in more than 450 three- and four-year high schools across Serbia. Students will use this entertaining teaching tool to learn fun facts about European Union, its institutions, Serbia’s process of EU integration, but also about other topics of students’ concern such as environment and consumer protection, sports, travelling and human rights.

Apart from Diary, teachers will be able to get one of over 3,000 copies of Teachers’ Manual designed as a supplement to Diary, containing ideas for various activities, worksheets and class preparations.

Europa Diary will also be available to public, academic and high school library visitors.
