Once again, Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad are taking part in European Mobility Week 16-21 September, along with more than 2 000 European cities. Under the slogan “Choose. Change. Combine.” this specific campaign is designed to promote sustainable means of transport, point to challenges cities are facing with a view to change transport behaviour and influence creation of a more advanced strategy of sustainable transport in Europe.

This year, EMW dedicates one day to partially limit motorised traffic in cities, allowing only pedestrians, cyclists, public transport and clean vehicles (e.g. electric cars).

Pedestrian zones, slowing of traffic and cycling races will be organised over the next seven days in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis.

As of June 2015, EMW campaign is focused on promotion of multimodality. This year’s theme of multimodality encourages people to think about the range of transport options available, and to choose the most efficient mode when travelling.
