Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Ambassador Sem Fabrizi said the EU was looking forward to additional efforts from Serbia to align progressively with the EU’s common foreign and security policy before the date of accession.

Prior to being granted full-fledged membership in the EU, Serbia should align its foreign and security policy with the EU,” Ambassador Fabrizi said.

With EU integration as its strategic priority, Serbia should act in line with its EU commitment to regional cooperation and stabilisation,” Fabrizi said.

Serbia already contributes to EU civil and military crisis management missions, which we welcome,” EU Ambasaador said.

But,” he said, “we look forward to additional efforts to align progressively with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy.

The EU common foreign and security policy leaves ample room for development of bilateral relations with non-EU members, as long as the common framework is respected,” Fabrizi said.
