Chief of Serbia`s negotiating team in the membership talks with the European Union Tanja Miscevic stated that explanatory screening on Chapter 3 “Right of establishment and freedom to provide services” is the first one that was open after scheduling parliamentary elections.
BRUSSELS, 30 January 2014 (FoNet) – Chief of Serbia`s negotiating team in the membership talks with the European Union Tanja Miscevic today stated there is no stopping in talks with the EU representatives, and today`s talks on Chapter 3 in Brussels also show that.
Miscevic stated that explanatory screening on Chapter 3 “Right of establishment and freedom to provide services” is the first one that was open after scheduling parliamentary elections.
“At the beginning it was immediately confirmed that there are actually no holds in this segment, no change of plan and no change of agenda, as it was confirmed by March 2015”, said Miscevic to the press in Brussels.
She said that this chapter “is not politically sensitive topic, but it is technically very demanding”.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic stated that there was discussion about mutual recognition of numerous professions.
She announced that they will talk about postal services, where Serbia will have to address issues related to regulation of internal markets and harmonization with regulations.
Matic said that the adoption of regulation on services is ahead of Serbia and the EU will provide support to the work on directive, which must be adopted by end of year.
