In the framework of accession negotiations with the European Union, negotiation chapter 19, which covers the area of social policy and employment, has not yet been opened. The coordinator of the Working Group for Chapter 19 at the National Convention on the EU, Nataša Vučković, conveys how far Serbia has come in the preparations and provides details of the Action Plan for Chapter 19, which was adopted in May 2020. In the field of labour law, as well as safety at work, it is necessary to make a significant number of important adjustments to national legislation in order to reach harmonisation with the Union acquis, Vučković says.
