A conference marking the adoption of the Strategy for Public Finance Internal Control 2017-2020 was held today with participation of Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic, Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi and European Commission representative Raymond Hill.

“By adopting the Strategy, the Government of Serbia has made a clear commitment to developing and improving the system of public finance internal control,” reads the statement released by the Government.

The system is enshrined in the Public Administration Reform Strategy and the Public Finance Management Agenda 2016-2020 and is a key topic within the fourth pillar – effective financial control.

The Strategy, the statement reads, contributes to meeting specific requirements of Serbia’s EU accession process under the Chapter 32 – financial control. The statement also reads that Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi and European Commission representative Raymond Hill gave “a strong stimulus to the reform of public finance internal control, as part of the overall public administration reform.”
