The “Europe and Me” competition for high school students in Serbia, which was presented in the Jubilee Tenth edition of the Europa Diary, and this time attracted a lot of interest and a lot of creative work came.

The competition opened on November 20th and lasted until February 8th. It featured 253 works in 5 categories (two individual and three team categories): photography, design of the Europa Diary 2020/2021, comic/cartoon, video, and multimedia, from each of which the three best works were selected. Categories have been changed from previous years to encourage participants’ creativity. Although the task was challenging, high school students across Serbia proved to be at their best.

The topics of the competition were: EU and Serbia, EU in your daily life, Myths about the EU, Human rights, Environment, and climate change, Prevention of violence, Europe – united in diversity.

The organizers congratulate the best, and those who are not awarded this time wish a lot of luck a second time. The prize trip to the EU countries is temporarily canceled due to the COVID 19 pandemic and will be held when the competent authorities of the Republic of Serbia decide that the safety and health conditions have been met.

This year we received over 250 works in which more than 700 creative young people and teachers took part from all over the country.Once again you have shown us the wealth of talents and great ideas that Serbia boasts. However, we will have to be patient while we work together to overcome the difficulties we are all experiencing because of Covid 19.Stay healthy and safe.
