Serbian and German police have thus far established good cooperation, especially under the project “Fighting organised crime” funded through IPA 2013 programme, said the Minister of Interior of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic and the Vice-President of the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany Peter Henzler.

They met in Belgrade to discuss further cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries in fighting organised crime, focusing on the fight against drug and arms trafficking. They agreed that the Serbian law enforcement agency is a reliable partner in fighting all forms of crime, reads a statement issued by the Serbian Ministry of Interior.

Hezler described the cooperation between the two law enforcement agencies as excellent, in both strategic and operational sense of the word, commending the Serbian police force as the most efficient in the region.

Stefanovic said that the Ministry of Interior would continue to expand the existing cooperation, says the statement released by the Minister’s Cabinet.
