Austrian Embassy in Belgrade opened its doors to citizens who were served with coffee and pastries while they had an opportunity to talk to Ambassador Johannes Eigner and other diplomats.

Eigner said he was pleased Austrian Embassy took part in the “Open Doors” event, adding that through its participation the Embassy wanted to demonstrate that its doors were open to citizens of Serbia and Belgrade.

“It is our pleasure to participate in EU-embassies’ ‘Open Doors’ event. Therefore, we would like to show our embassies are not some secret offices or fortresses, but are open to people from Serbia and Belgrade,” he said.

Austrian Ambassador said he himself made a Carinthian Reindling cake on this occasion and he hoped visitors would enjoy Vienna coffee and pastries from different parts of Austria.

Austrian Embassy’s visitors had an opportunity to tour around the building of this diplomatic mission in Belgrade.

EU-embassies’ “Open Doors” event is organised in cooperation with the EU Info Centre in Belgrade.
