European Union Information Point in Novi Sad (EUIP), in cooperation with Cycling union of Vojvodina, Cycling club Fruskogorac and Novi Sad city authorities, took part in the Ecological transport promenade and Cycling parade along the city streets.
On 21 September, over the course of Promenade, EUIP team members presented their work as well as their activities to citizens who tested their own cycling skills. Apart from attending a varied cultural and music programme, citizens also had an opportunity to test their knowledge on the EU, via quiz designed by EUIP Novi Sad.
Promoting World Car-free Day, EUIP representatives participated in promotional bicycle ride on 22 September. Despite the weather not suiting two-wheeler enthusiasts, some forty of them have, nevertheless, ridden their bicycles around town. Cyclists’ route included central city streets, Novi Sad Fair, Liman neghbourhood, Varadinska duga bridge, before they finally reached Petrovaradin Fortress, thus making the very motto of the Parade come true.
