Through EU PROGRES development programme, European Union has financially supported drafting of technical documentation for diagnostic centre in Novi Pazar.
Documentation envisages construction of 1,200 square metres facility that would feature departments for laboratory, radiology, x-ray, mammography and ultrasound services.
The Centre should improve overall health care as it is expected to allow for early diagnosis and timely medical treatment of multiple diseases.
The project is expected to reduce the costs for patients from Novi Pazar, Tutin, Sjenica and Raska as they have so far had to travel over 100 kilometres in order to receive these services.
Through EU PROGRES, European Union has granted EUR92,000 aimed at drafting of technical documentation necessary for the construction of social housing facility, kindergarten, elementary school, general and communal infrastructure, as well as the Centre in Novi Pazar (EUR17,000).
Apart from diagnostic centre, European Union has invested over EUR1.8 million in Novi Pazar through 34 additional municipal and three inter-municipal projects.
