The International Agricultural Fair has been held in Novi Sad for 91 years, but is widely known globally, and is considered the most significant event of its kind in the region. Therefore, the European Union has decided to take the honour of becoming this year’s Partner of the Agricultural Fair.

The Delegation of the European Union in Serbia will be present in Hall 1, at the EU Pavilion, during all fair days – from Saturday, May 18, to Thursday, May 23. Visitors can expect more than 40 informative panels and workshops – numerous experts will talk about quality food production, animal health, cultivation of cultivated plants, technological innovation, sustainable agriculture and more.

Several sessions on IPARD grants have been designed for farmers and entrepreneurs who want to improve their business. How to successfully apply for the existing ones, and what kind of opportunities the expected IPARD III measures will bring – find out at the EU Pavilion.

The European Union supported the agricultural sector with more than EUR 150 million before the start of the IPARD II programme with an allocation of EUR 175 million of EU support. The current IPARD III programme will bring more opportunities to Serbian farmers and will pay an additional EUR 288 million. of EU support. The main goals of support within IPARD are increasing the competitiveness of Serbian farmers, preserving the environment and biodiversity, supporting rural businesses and communities, and developing rural infrastructure.
