Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue: Establishment of Joint Monitoring Committee in line with Ohrid commitments
The EU, as the Facilitator of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, together with Kosovo and Serbia, as parties to the Dialogue on normalisation of their relations, have today established a Joint Monitoring Committee to oversee the implementation of the Agreement on the path to normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia and its Implementation Annex. The establishment takes place 30 days after the High-level meeting of the Dialogue in Ohrid, North Macedonia, as stipulated in the Implementation Annex.
The Joint Monitoring Committee will be chaired by EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues, Miroslav Lajčák. Kosovo will be represented by its Ambassador in Brussels Agron Bajrami and Serbia by Chief negotiator Petar Petković.
The Committee will meet on a regular basis in Brussels. The Terms of References are expected to be finalised and adopted at the first meeting of the Committee, which will take place after the next High-level Dialogue Meeting scheduled to take place in Brussels on Tuesday 2 May.
