As part of EU Green Week 2025, which this year is held under the slogan “Circular Solutions for a Competitive Europe”, Europe House Niš, in cooperation with the French Institute and the Embassy of France in Belgrade, is organising an event dedicated to contemporary approaches to sustainability in urban environments.

Join us on Tuesday, 3 June from 13:00 at Europe House Niš (Vožda Karađorđa 5) and discover how urban spaces can become more resilient and greener, how small initiatives can create big changes, and what roles citizens, institutions, and local innovators play in this process.

We are bringing together experts and citizens to discuss concrete examples and the potential for applying circular solutions in cities – through community gardens, rainwater collection, composting, and the active involvement of citizens in shaping sustainable policies.

With representatives of the Embassy of France, we will discuss the initiative to install a rainwater collector and composter – a symbolic step towards sustainable urban practice – as well as the implementation of community gardens and circular initiatives in French cities.

Sabina Kerić, founder and president of the eco-social enterprise Ekonaut, will speak about how citizens can actively contribute to the development of micro-green areas and the application of circular solutions in their surroundings.

Shared spaces also mean shared responsibility. This event aims to open space for dialogue and cooperation among organisations, institutions, and citizens, so that we can all work together to shape a nature-friendly city.
