In Brussels on November 18, leaders, youth voices and citizens from all over Europe will gather at the The EU Enlargement Forum, to shape a common future together.

The Enlargement Forum will bring together a wide and diverse range of participants – from top national and regional political leaders to representatives of civil society, entrepreneurs, artists, youth and public policy experts – from EU member states and candidate countries, under the slogan Completing the Union, Securing our Future.

The EU Enlargement Forum is a leading initiative of the European Commission whose aim is to advance the discussion on EU enlargement as a joint political, social and generational project.

The EU is pursuing its most ambitious enlargement agenda in more than a decade. For the first time in a generation, the prospect of a larger Union is within reach.

The renewed momentum for enlargement is the cornerstone of the European Commission’s strategic vision for the period 2024-2029. Enlargement is essential to the EU’s ability to project stability, prosperity and democratic values both within and beyond its borders. It strengthens the Union’s strategic interests, supports economic growth and competitiveness, strengthens energy security and anchors reforms in the area of governance and the rule of law.
