Round table within the project “Support of the civil society to public administration in the IPA II rural development focusing on the Measure 202” which is funded by the Delegation of European Union to the Republic of Serbia.
On Thursday, 30th of January, a round table within the project “Support of the civil society to public administration in the IPA II rural development focusing on the Measure 202” was held, which is funded by the Delegation of European Union to the Republic of Serbia within the project “Support to the civil society 2012” and Office for the cooperation with civil society of the Republic of Serbia.
Aim of the round table was to define the framework for dialog between civil and public sector in the area of rural development.
Atendees were addressed by the project manager Mrs. Ivana Stefanović Ristin, attaché for agriculture and rural development in the Delegation of EU to the Republic of Serbia Mr. Carl-Heinz Vogel, and the chief of the Department for rural development in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water management, Mr. Dragan Mirković.
The meeting was attended by 38 representatives of the potential local activity groups and the representatives of civil society from across Serbia.
Ivana Stefanović Ristin presented the project and spoke about its importance. After this, the attendees were addressed by Mr. Vogel who underlined the importance of this project and said that EU will continue supporting LEADER and local action groups. Mr. Marković spoke in detail about the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water management’s plan for rural development and underlined that the Ministry is pleased to have active organizations of civil society as future partners in the process of implementation of politics of the rural development. After speakers addressing to the attendees, the representatives of the organizations of civil society and representatives of local action groups, actively asked questions and made suggestions for further cooperation with civil sector about preparing and implementing IPARD program, focusing on “the LEADER measure” in rural development.
