Within the European Union program supporting recovery of floods affected areas in Serbia, Danish Refugee Council (DRC), together with co-applicant ENECA will facilitate in this phase the reconstruction of 43 individual housing objects affected by recent floods, the installation of nine prefabricated units for the families most severely hit by floods in Paracin. The value of the works is more than EUR 365.000.

In Paracin Municipality, the first rehabilitation works began on 30 Oct 2014. In the first week of November, construction sites were prepared, as well as construction works for prefabs were undertaken for six out of nine prefabs for families whose housing objects were totally demolished.

In Paracin Municipality, in the first phase of EU programme implementation, Danish Refugee Council will provide rehabilitation of 43 housing objects in the total estimated value of EUR 206.414 and construction of nine prefabricated objects in total estimated value of approximately EUR 160.000.

The estimated deadline for the duration of recovery works is 45 days, while the first prefabricated objects are expected to be built by the end of November 2014, upon which the provision of basic furniture and home appliances packages will be launched.

The planned value of assistance in basic furniture and home appliances for housing objects in Paracin Municipality is approximately EUR 114.400.

The beneficiary selection process of micro and small businesses to be assisted with necessary equipment, rehabilitation of facilitatites, as well as process material for renewing the buisinesses, has also been completed. In Paracin Municipality, ENECA will     assist 24 micro and small businesses through the funds of Delegation of European Union in Serbia.

There is the ongoing preparation of tendering procedure for the most quality suppliers of equipment and process material. The tender will be launched in the first half of November. The delivery of equipment is expected in the first half of December, when the first distribution of process material will be realised as necessary for restoring the full scope of economic acivtivity.

The planned value of assistance in equipment and process material for renewing the businesses is EUR 120,000.

In cooperation with Local Self-Government in Paracin and the Office for Local Economic Development, the list of 24 potential beneficiaries has been agreed, in line with the Implementation Methodology. The facility rehabilitation works have commenced  in earlz November.

Within the European Union program supporting recovery of floods affected areas in Serbia, Danish Refugee Council (DRC), together with co-applicant ENECA will facilitate the reconstruction of 170 individual housing objects affected by recent floods, the installation of 14 prefabricated units, the provision of 184 basic household appliances and furniture sets for the most vulnerable households, as well as the reconsolidation of 54 business activities of small and micro enterprises.

DRC and ENECA are implementing relief programms in the following municipalities: Cacak, Jagodina, Paracin, Velika Plana, Smederevska Palanka, Ub and Koceljeva.
